Oxidation of solid fuels closely connected with the questions of changes in the quality of this type of fuel. Spontaneous oxidation not only reduces the quality characteristics of coals, but also lead to their self-ignite. However, in recent decades conducted studies show that the directional oxidation raw coal with different reagents and methods may be regarded as the pretreatment and leads to a noticeable changes in their structure and compositions. Directed oxidation makes it possible not only to expand the the conditions of the recycling process, but also to obtain products with a variety of properties. The article notes that the difficulty of studying the mechanism of oxidation of the organic mass of coal consists in the complexity and ambiguity of the structure of the composition and structure of matter coals (organic and inorganic) and the method of studying this process becomes an experimental statistical character with the release of the general laws. The results of experimental studies of the effect of preliminary oxidation the organic mass of brown coal of Kangalassky deposit various chemicals to determine the degree of influence of this process on the efficiency of their processing into humic substances. The reagents were used as inorganic and organic oxidizers in different concentrations. The greatest effect is to increase the yield of humic acids marked when used the oxidation of hydrogen peroxide at a concentration of 6-10%, as well as hydrochloric acid at a concentration of 10%. The results of experimental studies on the effect of preliminary oxidation of coal may be the basis for developing a new method of processing of brown coal in humic substances.
